Marcia Hendricks--Executive Director
Ms. Hendricks has served the organization for 20 years, first as a volunteer and board member, and then as a paid staff member starting in 1989.  Under her leadership, the Chorale has grown into one of Colorado Springs’ larger nonprofit arts organizations and one of the nation’s premier children’s choirs.  Ms. Hendricks attended CU-The Springs.  Prior to her involvement with the
CSCC, she owned and operated a successful event planning and floral design business.  Ms. Hendricks has served on many community nonprofit boards including the Pikes Peak Arts Council; Arts, Business, and Education Consortium: the Taylor Elementary School Advisory Council; and the committee to pass the Scientific and Cultural Arts Tax.  She currently serves on the Steering Committee of the Kennedy Center’s Imagination Celebration and the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble Board of Directors. Ms. Hendricks has a vast knowledge of children’s choirs and nonprofit business and is a popular facilitator/advisor for board and organizational development with nonprofit organizations from throughout the region.  She is a member of the American Choral Director’s Association, Chorus America, Artemis, and the Colorado Music Educator’s    Association.

Donna Gillespie
--Production Assistant

Donna has been a parent member of the Children’s Chorale for many years.  Her three children sang with the Chorale and through their years she has had many opportunities as a Chorale volunteer.  She has served on the Parent Council as a Parent Representative as well as Co-Chairman.  Donna has been to every Chorale summer camp except two and regretted missing those.  She has particularly enjoyed having the opportunity to travel with the Chorale. Donna’s background is in children.  She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master’s of Science in Speech Therapy and Elementary Education.  She taught reading and speech skills to children with special needs up until the time her children were born.  Since then Donna has tutored, taught after school classes, and volunteered at church, school and in the community.  She’s thrilled to be helping in the office and getting to know your children.

Sherry Hoerl Bookkeeper
Sherry Hoerl started as a Chorale parent in 1994 when her two daughters joined the Children’s Chorale.  She served in several positions on Parent Council including Uniform Volunteer and fondly remembers the “pre-Rosebud’s” days of having her guest bedroom filled with navy pants and red polo's just before uniform distribution time!  Sherry has been part of the Chorale staff since February 2000 and currently holds the position of Outreach Coordinator and Bookkeeper.  Even though she is not usually in the office during rehearsals, she also maintains the Chorale financial records, so she is very familiar with your names if not your faces!  Sherry also works part time for Lutheran Family Services.  Sherry has a B.S. from Valparaiso University, and has previously worked as a teacher, banker, and as a church business manager/bookkeeper.
