1. Setting of organizational policy to insure that the organization's
programs are always in keeping with its statement of mission and in keeping with sound
business practices and legal requirements.
2. Reviewing and evaluating operating plans as formulated by staff to
insure that they are always in keeping with its statement of mission and in keeping with
sound business practices and legal requirements.
3. Long range planning and business plan development to formulate goals
and strategies for meeting those goals that insure that customer needs are met in the
present while organizational continuity is insured for the future.
4. Financial monitoring and budgeting to insure that organizational
resources are used wisely and appropriately pursuant to the CSCC business plan.
5. Hiring and oversight of CSCC management staff including the Artistic
Director and the Executive Director. The Board sets and annually reviews personnel
policies and staff responsibilities, annually evaluates performance of management staff,
and serves as the final arbiter of internal staff disputes and grievances.
6. Oversight of organizational funding through the setting of annual
tuition amounts, sponsorship of the annual campaign, and assistance of staff in develpment
of special fundreaising activities.
The CSCC is governed by a Board of Directors operating under its By-Laws as required by
Colorado law as it applies to non-profit corporations. Board meetings are held the 4th
Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the CSCC Office.
